Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of attending Apprenticeship Texas in Dallas, held on October 3rd and 4th. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with industry leaders, government agencies, and workforce boards, all united by a common goal—expanding and improving apprenticeship programs across the state and beyond.

Showcasing Workhands and Introducing the Apprenticeship Hub

At our booth, we had a busy and exciting two days, welcoming attendees who were eager to learn more about Workhands. We were thrilled to give a sneak peek of our newest offering: the Apprenticeship Hub, a groundbreaking resource designed to promote apprenticeship programs across the United States. And what better place to launch than in Texas, a state with a rich history of workforce development and a growing demand for skilled trades?

The Apprenticeship Hub aims to connect everyone in the apprenticeship ecosystem:

  • Individuals seeking apprenticeship opportunities

  • Employers looking to start or expand their apprenticeship programs

  • Agencies and workforce boards that support these efforts

With the Apprenticeship Hub, participants will be able to create profiles, share details about their apprenticeship programs, and connect with others in the field—whether they’re just starting out or looking for expert advice. Our goal is to make it easier than ever for people to discover apprenticeships and for programs to grow their reach and impact.

Building Our Network: A Great Response

We were thrilled to see so many people sign up for early access to the Apprenticeship Hub! Representatives from agencies, industry, and workforce boards across Texas and beyond expressed strong interest in being part of this network. These early adopters will receive exclusive invitations to build profiles and showcase their programs to a wider audience, gaining visibility and connecting with key stakeholders in the apprenticeship community.

A Special Thank You and Giveaway Winner

To show our appreciation, we held a special giveaway at the event. We are excited to announce that Carlos Carpizo from Kosmos Workforce was the lucky winner of a brand new iPad! Congratulations, Carlos!

Our beta signups for the Apprenticeship Hub are filling up fast, but there are still a few spots left. If you want to get in early and start building connections, you can still sign up for our beta network.

Thank You, Texas Workforce Commission and Hilton Anatole

We would also like to extend a big thank you to the Texas Workforce Commission for organizing such a well-run and impactful event. The Hilton Anatole provided fantastic accommodations, and we even got a chance to experience some authentic Texas BBQ—an unforgettable part of our visit!

Looking Forward to National Apprenticeship Week

We’re beyond excited by the response to our new Apprenticeship Hub and can’t wait to share more details during National Apprenticeship Week in November. Stay tuned for updates as we continue building this network to support apprenticeship programs across the country.
